The National Register of Historic Sites and Monuments is an official list kept by the Government of New Ingrea of any sites, buildings, structures, and objects deemed worthy of preservation. The Register is formally kept and maintained by the Royal National Parks Service, an executive agency of the Ministry of Conservation and Land Management.
Objects on the Register are often known as a listed building or listed structure, although the term is not official.
Categories of listed building
There are three categories on the Register for buildings and other structures in New Ingrea:
- Category I: Buildings of exceptional interest.
- Category II: Particularly important buildings of more than special interest.
- Category III: Buildings that are of special interest, warranting every effort to preserve them.
