Passenger transport authority

A Passenger transport authority (PTA) is an agency of the county councils which are responsible for the provision of mass public transport in New Ingrea. All but one of the bodies date back to 1988, and were established by the Passenger Transport Act[1].

Services

Each county council fulfils its passenger transport requirements by utilising different modes of public transport, e.g. buses, ferries, trams, &c. At present, the eight PTAs run services using the following modes of transport:

  2. TransCapital is a special case. It was established by the Metropolitan Transit Authority Act in 1965 and is a joint-entity between the Government of New Ingrea as well as Centralia and Vernonshire County Councils.
