The Kingsbury Red Star Football Club are a Pōrohuru club that currently play in the NIFA National League Conference East. Formed in 1917, the club has a proud history rooted in the working class suburbs of eastern Kingsbury around the former Kingsbury Power Station. Featuring one of the most passionate supporter bases in the entire country, Red Star has a long standing rivalries with many teams, including neighbouring East Kingsbury and West Kingsbury; but the longest and deepest rivalry stands with the cross-town Imperials, with whom Red Star play for the Lord Mayor's Shield in the Kingsbury derby each year. Red Star currently play their home matches at Prospect Oval, Kingsbury.
