The East Aldenshire County Cricket Association is the sports governing body for the game of cricket in the eastern half of the county of Aldenshire in New Ingrea. Formed in 1888 it is responsible for the administration of the men's and women's representative teams, and the the running of district, sub-district, and junior competitions.

The administrative role of the association also stretches to numerous other roles that ensure the successful day-to-day business and promotion of the game of cricket in it's area. This includes player registration and clearances, judicial decisions and appeals, and accreditation of support staff and press reporters. The Association also oversees the local developmental, coaching, and umpiring bodies on behalf of the NICB, with whom it is affiliated. The Association is based at the Glebe Park Stadium, Port Frederick.

History

The East Aldenshire CCA was formed in 1888, when the Aldenshire CCA split over disagreements about player payments and remuneration for lost wages. Whilst the eastern clubs in and around Port Frederick favoured the change, the more conservative members in the western reaches of the county disagreed and left to form their own association over the issue. A settlement was reached that formally divided the assets and debts of the former association between two new bodies, leading to the formation of the eastern association some six months after the split.

The newly formed association contested it's first County Championship season in 1889/90. District cricket commenced in 1890/91, with six teams competing, which later expanded to the current twelve sides throughout the twentieth century.
