The Mitchell River is a major river on Brunswich Island. The river runs for 168 3⁄5 miles (271.3 km) from Mount Alexander on the Central Plateau to the Forster Strait at Alice in the county of Beaufortshire. The river is the second longest in New Ingrea.
The principal tributaries of the river include the Boyd, Henry, Lamb, Reddestone and Yarrow rivers.
