The Noble Six is the name given to the six principal families who were responsible for the settlement of New Ingerland in 1836. These families contributed the most in money and personnel to the establishment of the New Ingerland Company, and were therefore rewarded with the largest share of land and titles once the kingdom was established.

Background

Except for the Crowther and Lamberton families, all of the Noble Six are descended from aristocratic families in Ingerland, some of whom date back to the Scandian Conquest.

The families

Today, the senior line of all the Noble Six remain extant, and hold titles in the peerage of New Ingerland.
