President of the Court of Appeal

The President of the Court of Appeal is the judge who heads the Court of Appeal. The current President is The Lord Wilkes.

Legal basis

The position of President of the Court of Appeal is authorised by §57 of the Judicature Act[1]. The President is appointed by the Monarchy of New Ingerland on the advice of the Judicial Appointments Commission and confirmed by the Senate of New Ingerland.

Rules governing the removal of President, and any other judge or magistrate in New Ingerland, are found in §79 of the Constitution of New Ingerland[2].
