University College Kingsbury contains twelve residential halls and three affiliated houses. The halls are primary source of accommodation for most students, both undergraduate and postgraduate. In conjunction with the faculties and departments of the university, the halls provide additional tutorial lessons and other teaching aids. This model closely follows the method taken by the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, which the college adopted in the 1920s.
