A government entity is a type of organisation that forms part of New Ingrea's state sector.
Government entities come under the following subtypes:
- New Ingrean Civil Service – the various departments and agencies that administer the government of New Ingrea, e.g. Ministry of Home Affairs;
- Executive agency – Civil Service bodies that are treated as managerially and budgetarily separate in order to carry out some part of the executive functions of Government;
- Crown corporation – A bodies corporate established under a specific Act and also operating under the terms of the Companies Act, and are in turn sub-divided into:
- Crown enterprise – A state-owned companies operating on the open market in competition with private enterprise, e.g. Telecom New Ingrea;
- Crown monopoly – A state-owned companies operating as a monopoly over the specific area of the market, e.g. Water Corporation;
- Crown statutory agency – An organ of the government managed and funded at arms length of the cabinet and executive, and enjoying full autonomy from the cabinet, e.g. Elections New Ingrea;
- Public board of trustees for the management of schools and hospitals;
- Tertiary education institutions, incorporates New Ingrea's university colleges and polytechnics.
- Parliamentary offices – bodies created by, and that report directly to, the Parliament of New Ingrea, e.g. Office of the Controller and Auditor-General of New Ingrea; and
- Agencies sui generis – special organisations that carry out a unique function not exercised by any other government entity, e.g. Radio Television New Ingrea.
