New Ingrean general election, 1940

The New Ingrean general election of 1940 was held on Saturday, 2 March 1940. A khaki election, the poll was called early to capitalise on the still positive sentiment during the "phoney war" stage of the conflict with Germany. The incumbent National Party government, led by Donald Burleigh, was returned in a landslide.
