The New Ingrean Railways or NIR is the state-owned body responsible for operation, management, and maintenance of the national railway system. The New Ingrean Railways was established in 1972 to replace the earlier Ministry of Public Works and Railways, and like it's predecessor, operates as a fully-integrated monopoly across all parts of the national rail network.
