PowerGrid is a government entity responsible for high voltage electric power transmission in New Ingrea. The company owns and operates New Ingrea's high voltage electricity transmission network, and facilitates the smooth operation of the national electricity market through the transmission of electricity from the generators to the distributors and retailers.
PowerGrid was established in 1994 as part of the break-up of the Electricity Commission. The company is a corporate crown monopoly, with a chairman and board of directors appointed by ministerial shareholders of the Minister of State for Finance and the Minister of State for Energy and Water Resources.

The PowerGrid network consists of 1,290 miles (2,080 kilometres) of chiefly 400 kV and 275 kV lines.
