The Distinguished Service Cross or DSC is a military decoration awarded to personnel of the New Ingerland Defence Force for distinguished service in action on land, air and sea. The DSC was introduced in 1972 and is the highest distinguished service decoration in the New Ingerland honours system, and recipients of the Distinguished Service Cross are entitled to use the post-nominal letters "DSC". To date, there have been 360 recipients of the award, with 25 of these recipients also awarded an additional bar in recognition of the performance of further acts of distinguished service meriting the award.
