Ribbon of the Star of Bravery

The Star of Bravery is New Ingerland's second highest award for civilian bravery. The star, which may be awarded posthumously, is granted in recognition of acts of the most conspicuous courage in circumstances of extreme peril. To date, there have been 325 recipients of the award. Created in 1972, the medal is primarily a civilian award, but it is also awarded to members of the New Ingerland Defence Force who perform acts of bravery in non-operational circumstances.

Description

  • The Bravery Medal is a silver eight-pointed star of four long points and four short points.
  • The obverse is gilt and has the Crown of New Ingerland within within a wreath of laurel.
  • The reverse is the inscription FOR BRAVERY.
  • The ribbon is blue in colour with two narrow vertical stripes of red down the centre.
